COST
The online training course is currently on promotion at $595.00 per person (normally $750.00).
Accredited training is GST exempt.
A course competency Wallet Card is included.
COURSE DETAILS
We specialise in delivering a nationally accredited drug and alcohol testing training course.
You will learn the theory and practical elements of carrying out a range of workplace drug and alcohol testing and also the related record-keeping requirements of performing these duties:

Urine Sample Collection and Testing

Oral Fluid (Saliva) Sample Collection and Testing

Breath Alcohol Testing / Breathalyser Operation
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be issued with a nationally recognised
Statement of Attainment: HLTPAT005 Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing.
Free course competency Wallet Card included.
The Wallet Card is a convenient way of having a record of your certification with you at all times. It also lists your Statement of Attainment number which certain organisations require when completing the Chain of Custody form.
Your Statement of Attainment remains your official record.
COURSE DELIVERY - ONLINE BLENDED MODE

There are two options to complete our online drug and alcohol testing training course via the Online / Blended Mode:
Option 1: Online Theory and Webinar Practical​
The online component of the blended training course will provide you with the understanding of the processes, regulations and guidelines for conducting drug and alcohol testing in the workplace.
As you progress through the material you will need to complete assessments related to the content just completed. This may include various formats, including short answer, true or false, yes or no, multiple choice or drag and drop questions, etc.
Once the online training has been completed, book an appointment to complete a one-on-one webinar session with one of our assessors.
Please allow approximately 1 - 2 hours for this session.
At this session we will be reviewing the theory component and you will need to confirm your knowledge and understanding of the content.
You will have the opportunity to clarify any areas of interest or concern.
Once you feel confident, the practical assessments will be undertaken. This will also include fully preparing a sample for further laboratory analysis as required under the Australian Standards utilising the testing equipment we will send to you.
The completed testing documentation, will need to be submitted to Progressive Diagnostics for verification.

Option 2: Online Theory and Face-To-Face Practical
(Progressive Diagnostics - Perth Only)

The online component of the blended training course will provide you with the understanding of the processes, regulations and guidelines for conducting drug and alcohol testing in the workplace.
As you progress through the material you will need to complete assessments related to the content just completed. This may include various formats, including short answer, true or false, yes or no, multiple choice or drag and drop questions, etc.

Once the online training has been completed, book into a face-to-face class at a Progressive Diagnostics training location (only available in Perth at present).
Please allow approximately 3-4 hours for this session.
At this session you will need to confirm your knowledge and understanding of the content. You will have the opportunity to clarify any areas of interest or concern.
This practical assessment will include fully preparing a sample for further laboratory analysis as required under the Australian Standards.

COURSE PREREQUISITES
Participants need to be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Participants will be required to complete the course using the English language, both spoken and written in a legible manner. Participants are also required to be able to read and apply the course content.
Participants are required to be able to work autonomously and to make judgements within the responsibility of their job role working in collection centres, various industry environments and workplaces where drugs of abuse testing takes place.
Participants also need to have the ability to provide solutions to both predicable and unpredictable situations.

The assessor must be satisfied that the participant has sufficient knowledge of the English language, both written and oral, to safely perform the required work.
